Introduction

Trinity House Psychiatric Residential Care Home is situated in Hendon, London Borough of Barnet, within 10 minutes walking distance of Hendon Central Underground Station and 5 minutes walking distance of West Hendon British Rail Station.

The premises are ideally situated to have access to transport network. There is access to buses and trains. There are several buses from Brent Cross, Edgware, Finchley, Harrow, and Kilburn that go past the Home. There are numerous local shops, and supermarkets. The Barnet Town Hall, Brent Cross Shopping Centre and famous Welsh Harp Reservoir are all walking distance from the Home. The Home is close to a number pubs’; the closest being five minutes’ walk.

The focus of care and support is geared towards daily living, social skills, education, rehabilitation, communal living and employment.

We aim to support our clients to move from crisis situation to independence which we recognise as offering the best possible outcome to enable them to live as fulfilling and rewarding a life as possible. We take our clients through a structured programme at a pace to suit the individual this includes, daily living and social skills and all the tools they need to equip them for a rewarding life with regard to educational and employment opportunities and maintaining positive community presence. Skills Development

Daily Living Skills

At Trinity House, we are aware further assessments of elements of the service user's needs are required, to ensure that the care we are providing is relevant to helping the resident achieve their full potential.

Social Skills

Trinity House staff will residents to pursue hobbies and interests within and outside the home as long as these do not affect the quality of life of others living within the home. The support staff will assist such hobbies....

Education & Employment Skills

Trinity House meets with residents regularly during keyworking sessions and general discussions to explore their needs. There is focus on encouraging education – literacy, numeracy and computer (IT) literacy.

Eligibility & Admissions Criteria

The primary criteria for admission relate to the appropriateness of the home to cater for the individual’s rehabilitation needs within the framework of a psychiatric rehabilitation community. The home aim’s to meet local needs in the first instance but, due to the specialist nature of Trinity House, referrals will also be accepted for service users who do not live in the local area. Trinity House also complies with its Equal Opportunities Procedure when considering referrals.

Refer a Client

Trinity House works closely with Community Mental Health Teams and other professionals working in local hospitals with specialised units, to effect a discharge into our service. Please read our ‘ELIGIBILITY & ADMISSIONS CRITERIA’ for information required in addition to a completed ‘REFERRAL FORM’.
